For the pricing part of my business, I would like to keep my prices at overall affordable rates. It can get really expensive when needing to make multiple appointments especially when getting ready for big events, so making sure my prices are affordable is really important. I also would want to be profitable so finding competitive pricing is important. I would offer packages eventually, making it cheaper if you book multiple appointments. For example, if you are going to a wedding of a close relative you would need to look your best so offering packages that include options such as a facial, nails, makeup, hair etc. would make it easy for customers to pick what they need and get it booked at once. My pricing would include the following:

  • Daily Suite Rental (For Flex Use) – $75

Estimated Yearly Demand:

  • 5-8 full-time renters (monthly leases)

I think that Eric Hanberg’s presentation was very informative. I liked how we were provided with visuals, especially around the topic of money. I learned that progress is not linear and there will be times of high highs and low lows as an entrepreneur. I enjoyed listening and I think I was left feeling motivated. Hearing that Eric began to promote a book that wasn’t even written yet was surprising at first but ended up being a smart move. Not knowing the market and testing the book to see how it would do before putting effort, time, and money into it is a good way to minimize risk as a entrepreneur. 3 business ideas that I am interested in would be A one stop shop beauty salon A coffee shop/stand Laundromat/vending machine I have always been interested in the beauty industry, and I’ve always wanted to one day go to esthetician school. It’s not a very unique idea, but as something that I am interested in, I would definitely want to create a business plan for this. The services I would offer would include, facials, eyelash extensions, waxing, etc. I would also want to expand and offer spaces for independent estheticians or nail techs to rent out a room or part of the salon to build their own clientele while charging them rent. The documentary startup.com was an interesting watch. Viewers got to watch as a company was formed and finished. It was interesting to see everything that goes into forming a startup company. We got to see the power struggle and everything that can go wrong at any moment that can lead to the end of their company. It was a great way to see what goes on inside and what it really takes to run a real company. I believe that the break-in was an inside job. It was either accomplished by someone on the competition’s team or someone who was let go and didn’t agree with that decision. The person who committed the break-in knew where everything as and took everything that was of value such as khaleel’s computer which had important paperwork. I think this could’ve only been done by someone who knew the building, knew the people, and knew where everything was kept. I don’t think I would’ve fired anyone.
