Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths and weaknesses.

Being able to identify your strengths and weaknesses can help someone become self-aware and help you understand how to move forward and better yourself not only as an individual but also as a team member. Strengths are seen as attributes that will help carry yourself and your team when needed. Weaknesses are just as important so you can find those areas and focus on improving them. They will also allow you to find people/solutions to offset your weaknesses; those that will complement you. Once you are able to identify your strengths, you can set goals and milestones that will create the most impact on your team. You can also use your weaknesses to spot those areas that need to be improved to help you grow. Some of my strengths include being organized, adaptable to various situations, being a problem solver, creative, curious, goal-oriented, self-motivated, optimistic, responsible, and inclusive. I think that all of these strengths help me overcome challenges and build better relationships and also help determine what kind of leader I am and the areas that I excel in. Some of my weaknesses include being an overthinker, communication, being too distracted, having a fear of failure, being impatient, focusing too much on the smaller details, struggling with time management, being too critical, and procrastination. These weaknesses allow me to pinpoint those areas that I lack and set goals to meet a specific standard in these areas. Weaknesses don’t always have to be a bad thing, they can be an opportunity for growth and improvement.
